New lesson: I owe this trade to the boss

Hey guys and gals,

As we move forward in 2025, a paramount goal of mine is to accelerate my performance as an option buyer.

And that achieving long-term profitability in this niche will require hard work and dedication.

(as does becoming successful at anything in life.)

The key here is that, typically, option buyers have odds stacked against them.

That’s why I teach selling options in Small Account Journey; the probabilities are simply higher (in most cases).

This means I’m going to be selective and thorough and take every chance I can to learn from the best, which should inspire you to do the same.

Although my bread and butter is still selling options, I’m looking to improve as an options buyer when the opportunities look promising.

So… as 2025’s off and running now, so has been my option buying trading education.

I’m learning from Jeff Bishop in Black Label and improving with every trade.

Yesterday alone, Jeff alerted Black Label members and me to his top trade.

Here’s a snip from his member-only morning email:

“My Trade Plan Details:

QQQ Jan 24 $518 calls near $3.50
Stop: QQQ closes below $502
Target 1: $514
Target 2: $518”

You can see QQQ was establishing support at levels from October’s highs:

This is where going “bottom fishing” is a tactic to consider as a buyer.

QQQ, the fund of America’s tech holdings, is simply establishing a tradeable bottom.

Unless chaos breaks loose, this is the type of “buy the dip” chance Jeff teaches Black Label members to look for.

And to look for these pullbacks on what he considers “strong” stocks with good trading setups.

So armed with a bit of confidence and increased education here, I put about $8000 in.

Planned my trade, traded my plan.

And a few hours later, I was out for the win, a testament to the success that can be achieved through commitment and understanding.

I owe that to learning from the best — Jeff Bishop — the same professional trader who taught me how to trade many years ago.
